The UNIA's #MarKusBlackMarket: MAMAYASHI COLLECTION.

I am a huge MAMAYASHI  fan. Her pieces are handmade in Jamaica and as is stated on her website "inspired by rastafarian culture". I got to see her designs up close at the MarKus Black Market on February 7th and loved her stuff even more. At the top of my must have list from the MAMAYASHI Collection are  the Inity Skirt, the Wanderer and Ethiopian Angel Dress.

The UNIA MarKus Black Market: Momo Penelli Designs.

My Momo Penelli Bangle

I love Afro Centric Fashion. Especially the new age stuff. Take for example Jamaican designer Monique Jones founder of Momo Penelli designs who is making some gorgeous African clothing and jewelry using African print fabrics. She was one of the vendors at the MarKus Black Market on February 7th. I didn't have much money to spend but I had to get something. She had head bands, African print wrapped necklaces, earrings and bangles. I literally had to close my eyes to pick something. I decided on a bangle to start my collection. I can't wait to buy more so I can stack them. Check out Momo Penelli on Instagram and Facebook. She doesn't only do accessories her clothes are great too. African prints are no longer just about dashikis, long dresses or head wraps so get those images out of your mind now. Momo designs fabulous mini skirts and skater dresses, shorts, kiminos and much more cute stuff you can wear to the club, church, date night, the beach, school or just a regular Saturday outfit to meet up wit some firends. She will be back at the MarKus Black Market so follow @UNIAJAMAICA on twitter or like their FB page to see which Sunday Momo will be back. #MarKusBlackMarket.

UNIA's #MarKusBlackMarket: Shalshani Product Review.

I usually only get a bump or two in my face when mother nature checks in with me every month. Since December of last year however my face seems to be straight up breaking out now I have a huge black spot on my forehead and my cheeks #NotCute. I went on a mission to find a product that can cleanse my face, get rid of the spots but not bleach me in the process. I think I've found that product one word Shalshani.

Shalshani Mineral Cosmetics is a natural cosmetic line and is a product developed by a black Jamaican woman with years of experience as a skin specialist. (I met Ms. Anderson the creator of the line and her skin is FLAWLESS honey). I bought a small kit which had in it the problem skin masque and scar repair oil on February 7th at the MarKus Black Market event held by the UNIA in Kingston Jamaica. I used a little bit of
the oil on a spot on my cheek before bed that same night and I kid you not in the morning the spot looked tens time better. Since Monday night I've been washing my face with the masque it tingles a little and I feel it tightening my skin (I was told to expect that). I keep the masque on for fifteen minutes as per the instruction then wash my face with some luke warm water and use the repair oil after. I took some before photos and ill be using the product for a couple more days before I share with you the after shots.

From the reviews I've read the Shalshani is great for
all skin types but especially good for the dark skin people as most skin care products that remove spots tend to bleach our skin. Try Shalshani for yourself I've been using 3 days and I've seen a difference. Search Shalshani Mineral Cosmetics on Facebook and Twitter.
